29/7/2019 · High Pressure boiler will use a lot more fuel (at least 4x as much) to reach its max temp. Also takes a lot longer to do so. Both boilers will continuously burn fuel at their same rates regardless of how much steam is being used. So if you're not using all the steam, then you loose a fair bit of efficiency.

Read MoreMaximum temperature steam production with 1 Block of Coal Coke (Heat value 28800) Low Pressure Boiler. 640 Buckets of Steam @ 0.36 B/tick. High Pressure Boiler. 500.87 Buckets of Steam @ 0.72 B/tick. So, High Pressure Boilers at maximum temperature will produce twice the Steam per tick but 78% less Steam per fuel unit.

Read MoreSteam is essential to power Railcraft Steam Boiler and Steam Turbine. Railcraft was the first mod to introduce steam power, and is still one of the best ways to produce it. Railcraft adds a single Steam producer, the Steam Boiler, with multiple variants and multiple ways to generate power from the steam produced, such as the Steam Turbine and other Steam Engines.

Read More29/7/2019 · A Railcraft Boiler produces 10 mb/t per block for LP and 20 mb/t for HP. So a 36 HP boiler produces a total of 720 mb/t of steam. Your 12 HP boiler only produces 240 mb/t. MFR boilers produce a flat 400 mb/t. Almost twice what you were using, but about half of maximum output for a max-sized HP boiler.

Read MoreThe Steam Boiler is a multiblock structure from the Railcraft mod. This structure is used to turn water and fuels into Steam, for powering engines and other machines that require it. Steam Boilers are composed of two parts: the boiler and the firebox. The boiler is composed of Boiler blocks and determines the amount of steam it can produce and

Read MoreSteam boilers consume ~0.4 HU/t for each boiler block when running at full temperature. There is then a 1.25% effeciency bonus per boiler block subtracted from this. So a full sized (36 block) furnace would use only 55% of the fuel. Whether or not the steam is
